 James: The Boss-Lady

Born in a barn in the English countryside, James’ upbringing is a testament to his insatiable lust for travel and adventure. From the age of 3, James has accompanied his family on long-haul overland expeditions across the length and breadth of Africa. Not one to bow down to conformity, Roadtrippers grew out of James’ frustration over the lack of resources for road travelers in America (the America that’s not chained down by franchised food and mini-malls).

If you have need to discuss strategy, design, partnerships or who would win in a fight: John McClane or Martin Riggs, then James is your guy (he’d say Riggs, but that’s obviously wrong, it’d be McClane all the way).

 Tatiana: Direct Descendent of Galadriel/co-ruler of Lothlórien

Co-founder, chief content collector and social butterfly, Tatiana was raised in a similar idyllic countryside setting, a la New England. She escaped from her banal pastoral shackles (though Ipswich, Massachusetts is quite lovely in the Fall) to find refuge in the tropics. 8 years of Polynesian paradise and one PhD later, she found herself in Western Europe and fortunate enough to meet a kindred spirit with the same incurable wanderlust…our very own James.

 John: Keeper of “the numbers”

Do the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 mean anything to you? They do to our lead developer John Lauck. John was just a simple boy from Cincinnati who grew into a Seinfeld-loving, coffee-chugging, technical demi-god. His programming skills are matched only by his appreciation for the finer things in life: a fine wine, an aged whiskey and a bold espresso. All mixed together. As the Roadtrippers Chief Foodie, John can sit and discuss where to find the best waterfront, al fresco dining…for hours…

 Andrew: Developer/Guitar-Slayer

When Andrew first sauntered into the Roadtrippers headquarters he told us he was interested in two things: Kicking ass and chewing bubblegum…and wouldn’t you know it, he was all outta bubble gum. He’s our Indie-music-loving, guitar-slaying, perfectly-coiffed developer, working with John in all that techy-gobbledy-gook. Andrew’s circumnavigated the Blues Highway, conquered the Rocky Road to Dublin, and soared down the Highway to Hell.

 Brandon: Marketing Extraordinaire

As the resident Roadtrippers marketing tool, Brandon helps with management, engagement and is no stranger to witty banter. True story: Brandon committed to the Kentucky Wildcats for basketball right out of middle school, but that same summer discovered Halo and kissed his dreams goodbye. With tears in his eyes and regret in his heart, B-Dong became our “sports guy”, mostly just telling us which stadiums and arenas are kick-ass and repeatedly shooting crumpled paper balls at the trash can… and missing.

Sukhada: Intern; Programming Goddess

If agrotourism is your thing, Sukhada’s your gal. If you find yourself just outside Scranton exploring the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside, pay a visit to Schrute Farms, a lovely bed and breakfast/working beet farm (Sukhada recommends staying in the Irrigation room). Insider Tip: If you ask Dwight nicely he’ll read you Harry Potter before bed.
